Pipeline restoration
Blast-Furnace pipe thickness decreased as a result of corrosion, client adopted a conventional repair to the damage and welded the corroded area during shut-down.
The repair was not successful so the owner asked NESL to undertake The Belzona Solution. Our service engineer selected Belzona 1161, a fast-curing, surface, oil and moisutre tolerant paste-grade composite along with reinforcement tape. The repaired pipe-line has been in trouble-free service for the last one and a half years.
