Wall surface restoration of an acid storage tank
Our client, a large phosphoric acid plant was suffering huge chemical and environmental corrosion due to fumes of phosphoric and sulphuric acid and coastal environment.
Standard Epoxy paints were peeling off within 6 to 8 months and the outer walls of the tank were getting heavily corroded.
After cleaning the storage tank wall, surface preparation was done by grit blasting, then we coated the storage tank wall with Belzona 4311 (Magma CR-1).
It saved a significant cost of tank replacement and time.
